Tea Shoppe Chalkboard Effect

Tea Shoppe Chalkboard Effect

This is my first attempt at the chalkboard attempt. I used Stampin Up! Basic Black paper, the SU Tea Shoppe stamp set, Versamark ink, SU white embossing powder and white craft ink.
If you have an embossing buddy, use it on the card front before beginning.
1.Stamp all the images using Versamark.
2. Apply embossing powder and pour off the excess. I used a small paintbrush to remove a few stray bits of embossing powder.
3. Use the heat gun to emboss the powder.
4. After cleaning the Versamark ink off the stamps, ink them with the Stampin Up Whisper White craft ink. Stamp over each image with the craft ink, Its OK, or even preferred that the second image is slightly off the first image.
5. Use a white colored pencil to draw some lines. I also drew an outline around each image.
6. Use an ink dauber and the Whisper White craft ink to add “chalk” smudges to the card.
I think I overdid the smudging this time, but i am happy with my first effort.
We will make a chalkboard effect card at the next workshop on Saturday, April 20, 2013
